Formed in 2021, the mission of The Tiger Charge Inc. is to confront the hidden and unmet needs of children and their families in our local community. We are a nonprofit organization that facilitates raising funds for local school officials to utilize in covering the basic needs of students and their families.
Why?
Working with school officials, we know that there are MANY families in the Stewartville School District in great need of basic daily supplies. We also know that our school staff spend their own time and money to ensure student needs are met.
How?
Our system is simple. The school social worker contacts our organization with a specific request and we are the hands and feet to fulfill that need. All requests to The Tiger Charge Inc. come first through the social worker to maintain the anonymous identity of the child and family. The Tiger Charge Inc. is often able to deliver the item to the school within a day. This system eliminates the need for the staff to use their own resources, and also allows the staff to have increased time to work directly with students and families in need of support. Additionally, this allows school social workers to ensure that funds are allocated equally amongst those with the greatest needs.
